Garlic Parmesan Cabbage
Ingredients
1 cabbage
1/2 cup half and half
4 oz parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
minced garlic
minced onion
salt
pepper
onion powder
garlic powder
optional: creole seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 F
Heat an oven-safe dish (like a cast iron skillet) on the stove
Cut cabbage into half moons
Sear cabbage for 5 minutes on each side - season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and creole seasoning if using
Remove cabbage from dish and add 2 Tbsp of unsalted butter
Add minced onion and stir together
Add minced garlic, and immediately add 1/2 cup of half and half before the garlic burns
Add parmesan cheese and more seasonings if desired
Bring to a simmer, stirring so that nothing gets stuck to the pan
Add cabbage back to pan and mix sauce
Put entire dish in the oven for 20-25 minutes, until cabbage is tender
